Join Our Team through the SkillBridge Program!

Hyster-Yale Materials Handling is proud to partner with the U.S. Department of Defense SkillBridge program, offering valuable training and career opportunities to service members and their spouses as they transition to civilian life. This program connects service members in their final 180 days of service with companies that provide civilian work experience while the service member continues receiving military compensation and benefits.

Our commitment to supporting veterans is reflected in our dedication to recruiting and retaining top-notch talent nationwide, especially skilled technicians. Through SkillBridge, we offer targeted training that equips participants with the necessary skills for a successful career in materials handling.

Testimonials from Our Veterans:
Insights from the Hyster-Yale network

  • Eyan Pritchett

    Service Manager, U.S. Army Veteran

"Transitioning from military to civilian life was intimidating. After applying for numerous jobs, I found MH Equipment's Field Service Technician position. Despite having no forklift experience, I was welcomed and assured of comprehensive training. The support and training I received from day one was exceptional. MH Equipment truly invests in personal development and success. Through hard work and determination, I was promoted to Service Manager. MH Equipment feels like one big family, always ready to help and advise. I look forward to many more years with a company that cares deeply about its employees, customers, and community."

  • Brianna Johnson

Continuous Improvement Specialist, U.S. Army Veteran

“I never thought I’d leave one family within the military and find another with LiftOne. The values and overall culture within my team made the decision to join LiftOne seamless. From getting the details right, to improving always for our employees, customers and partners, I know LiftOne is the perfect place for me.”

  • Nicholas Cook

    Training Coordinator, U.S. Army Veteran

“In August 2024, I joined Riekes Equipment as their Training Coordinator. Despite limited experience in material handling, I was drawn to their vision and genuine leadership. Four months in, I’m confident I made the right choice. The company operates like a family, with supportive leadership and a team-oriented environment. Working alongside fellow Veterans, I’ve discovered the diverse and dynamic nature of the material handling industry. Riekes Equipment’s Discovery Center showcases our capabilities, making every day exciting. My only regret is not finding Riekes Equipment sooner.”

  • Chris Wade

Field Service Technician, U.S. Army Veteran and IL National Guard

"In just 11 months, MH Equipment has taken care of me better than any other company. They truly get to know their employees and ensure customer needs are met by keeping us in direct contact. As a veteran, I feel they deeply appreciate my service. When I tried a Sales position and found it wasn't for me, they welcomed me back to my Field Service Technician role without any issues. MH Equipment genuinely cares about my happiness in my career."

  • Angela Smith

“Serving in the Air Force instilled in me the values of discipline, teamwork and resilience–qualities that I’ve carried into my role as a Business Development Rep. The commitment to mission, success and the ability to adapt under pressure have been instrumental in building strong client relationships and driving growth. I draw on my military experience daily, ensuring that I approach challenges with determination and a collaborative spirit.”
