Job Responsibilities:
- Prior PARTS MANAGEMENT experience working with Heavy and Light Construction Equipment, Forklifts - Material Handling Equipment, Trucks, or any similar type of parts operation.
- Oversee daily operations of the parts department monitor customer service levels
- Manage the financial performance of the parts department.
- Review of P&L statements with management monthly
- Recruitment and hiring of department staff
- Manage inventories located at the branch office, in parts vans, and on customer consignment.
- Conduct regular team meetings with parts personnel to coordinate day-to-day activities.
- Set and review parts inventory levels.
- Review and place weekly stock orders
- Monitor overstocked and understocked parts. Assist with periodic vendor returns of overstocked items
- Accounts payable - review,approve, and code vendor invoices.
- Conduct and participate in parts strategy meetings. Assist with new account aquisition strategy.
- Maintain direct contact with current and prospective customers at end user locations. Address customer service issues.
- Take daily parts counter calls, assist counter staff with customer support and order processing
- Select, train, develop, and counsel direct reports.
