Sales Representative

Preferred home location:  Alamance, Durham or Orange Counties

 

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

This position is responsible for handling customer needs, answering questions and closing CCE requests. Primarily works directly at customers’ locations soliciting business and supporting any CCE needs. Develop customer preference for GPEC products and services in a manner consistent with the GPEC mission statement. Assists Heavy Construction Sales with compact equipment.

 

DIMENSIONS:

CCE Sales Revenue Sales Goals: approximately $4 million direct responsibility.

Manage Customer Database with CRM software 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

 

I. External - 80% of Time Spent

 

  • Responsible for all ‘un-assigned’ CCE sales opportunities in a specified geographical area.
  • Customer presentations serving as product specialist
  • Identifies new accounts through “cold calling” and quickly follows-up on any customer equipment lead provided or obtained.
  • Attends sales meetings and product training sessions
  • Promotes excellent customer relations through efficient handling of problems and expeditiously responding to customer needs.
  • Provides and shares CCE equipment specifications, applications and basic operator training to internal and external customers on various CCE product lines.
  • Makes routine follow-up site visits to current customers ensuring customer satisfaction.

                       

 

 

 

 

II. Internal Duties - 20% of Time Spent

 

 

  • Submits timely all monthly business records (i.e. call reports, expense reports, lost sales, expense reports, etc.)
  • Provides any information to group leader on CCE equipment status or issues.
  • Manage customer opportunities and customer management through corporate CRM tool

 

           

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

 

Education:

Four-year college degree with one-year business sales experience preferably with equipment sales; or technical/business college degree in business with three years similar work experience; or high school degree with 5 years of related work experience

Physical:

Position requires visiting customer locations/jobsites and able to travel for extended periods daily. Must be able to communicate in person and by phone with customers

Preferred home location:  Alamance, Durham or Orange Counties

 

Other:

Must have excellent customer relation skills with customers and interdepartmental associates.  Needs intermediate experience with software packages preferable MS Office (Outlook, Word and Excel).  Must have a valid state driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. Must possess strong time management skills and credit training. Nice to have fluent bi-lingual communication skills, primarily English and Spanish.
