Position Overview:
The Parts Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the operations of the parts departments across our Montville, NJ and Montgomery, NY branch locations. This role focuses on ensuring consistent parts availability, maximizing inventory efficiency, and driving parts sales to support the company’s overall growth and profitability. The Parts Manager will lead a team of Parts Associates and collaborate with other departments to deliver exceptional customer service and operational excellence.

Main Duties:
• Provide leadership, guidance, and support to Parts Associates.

• Ensure alignment of parts department operations with corporate goals and objectives.

• Develop and implement strategies to optimize inventory levels, ensuring adequate parts availability while minimizing excess stock.

• Oversee ordering processes, ensuring timely replenishment and efficient handling of backorders.

•Drive parts sales growth.

•Monitor and report on parts sales performance, providing recommendations to enhance profitability.

•Responsible maintaining and tracking both Warehouse Parts tool inventory AND Field Service Van tool inventory.

•Manage relationships with key suppliers and vendors to ensure favorable pricing, timely deliveries, and high-quality parts.

•Standardize parts department procedures to ensure consistency in operations and customer service.

•Implement best practices for parts handling, storage, and distribution to maximize efficiency and reduce waste.

•Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies in parts department operations.

•Lead and mentor Parts Associates, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

•Provide training and development opportunities for parts staff to ensure they are knowledgeable about products, systems, and industry trends.

•Facilitate communication and collaboration between parts departments to share best practices and solve common challenges.

•Champion a customer-centric approach to parts operations, ensuring that Parts Managers and staff prioritize customer needs.

•Work closely with the service and sales departments to ensure that parts availability supports overall customer satisfaction and service delivery.

•Address escalated customer concerns related to parts availability, quality, or service in a timely and effective manner.

•Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
• Strong knowledge of inventory management, supply chain processes, and vendor negotiations.

•Proven experience in a management role overseeing parts operations, preferably in the material handling or industrial equipment industry (or closely related Industry).

• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage and develop a diverse team.

•Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

•Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-location environment.

•Positive attitude.

•Candidate must be self-motivated, detail oriented, and possess excellent customer service skills.

•Ability to multi-task and function in a fast-paced environment.

•Excellent work ethic.

•Applicant must be a team player.
•Computer proficient.

•Stable work history.

•Must be able to lift 25 lbs.

•Valid Drivers license and clean driving record.
